Curriculum - Stage One

Welcome to Stage One.

Stage One consists of two years; Year 1 and Year 2.

Year One is the start of learning in Stage 1. This is the year that the students become more involved in school routines and continue to develop their social skills as they interact with other children in the classroom and playground.

Year One students will participate in a range of different activities across the curriculum. They will participate in a wide variety of programs such as Music, French and library and extend their creative and problem solving thinking skills with Robotics and the use of iPads in weekly lessons.

Year Two is the final year of learning in Stage 1. Students in Year 2 will continue to build on their reading, writing, and mathematic skills through a variety of activities.

Year Two students continue to participate in a range of activities across the curriculum. Additional activities implemented are the government funded Swimming Scheme which is run over two weeks at a scheduled time throughout the year, tennis lessons and the role of K-2 Assembly lead presenters.
