Hunters Hill Public School is unique. Our community is proud of the school that is steeped in history and tradition, having served to educate generations of children from Hunters Hill, Woolwich and surrounding areas since 1870 and is one of NSW’s oldest schools. “Where waters meet and jacarandas bloom” is the first line of the school song and refers to the special location of our school. At Hunters Hill, history and nature are in abundance from the grandeur of the sandstone buildings and the heritage listed Moreton Bay fig trees to the panoramic harbour views.
The school’s motto is “Amity”, the French word meaning friendship. What a wonderful motto for a school to have! At Hunters Hill our children are encouraged to work and play together to forge lasting friendships which is part of the magic of living in our close community.
Our school’s vision is summed up by the statement “Excellence in Education for Success in Life”. Our students learn to achieve academically, and value acts of respect, leadership, compassion and integrity.
Thank you for your interest in our school.
